Who we are

KaamSaathi is a marketplace connecting workers with contractors, operated by Gagan Labs. For anything about this policy or your data, write to privacy@kaamsaathiworks.com.

What we collect

Your mobile number, when you join the early access list, and whether you told us you are looking for work or hiring. That is all we collect today.

Once the app launches: your name, trade and skills, work location, identity documents used for verification, the jobs you apply to or post, rates you agree, and your earnings and payout records.

Technical information such as your IP address and the time of your submission, recorded automatically by our hosting provider.

Why we collect it

Your number is used to tell you when KaamSaathi opens in your area. Nothing else.

Inside the app, your details exist to match you with nearby work or nearby workers, to let both sides see who they are dealing with, and to keep a record of what rate was agreed so disputes can be settled fairly.

Identity verification

Verified badges depend on checking identity documents. We store only what is needed to confirm the check was done. We do not display your documents to other users — a contractor sees that you are verified, not your ID itself.

What we never do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your number with contractors or workers until you have engaged with a job. We do not pass your details to advertisers or data brokers.

Who else touches your data

We use a small number of service providers to run KaamSaathi — currently Netlify, which hosts this site and processes early access submissions on our behalf. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Early access numbers are kept until we launch in your area and you have either signed up or told us you are not interested, and no longer than 24 months. Account data is kept while your account is active. Records of completed jobs and payments may be kept longer where the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop us processing it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. In India these rights sit under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections and access is limited to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your personal data.

Children

KaamSaathi is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change we will update the date above, and where the change matters we will message people on the early access list rather than rely on you noticing.
